Mole checks on the high street

Early diagnosis in malignant melanoma is crucial to long-term survival. With this knowledge have come new imaging technologies for assessing suspect pigmented lesions. These, in turn, have led to privately run ‘high street mole clinics’. Here, in our first podcast, Dr Julia Schofield, Principal Lecturer in Dermatology at the University of Hertfordshire and member of the DTB editorial board, and Dr Ike Iheanacho, DTB Editor, discuss the place of these clinics. This is an extension of our March 2009 Editorial, Mole checks on the high street (DTB 2009; 47: 25).
